At Roam Studios, the goal is to simply produce the most compelling screenplay available to us at the time, with the resources that we have at the time, boldly, and unapologetically. We embrace writers at every stage of their journey, whether you're a seasoned professional or just crafting your first feature. All submissions are reviewed anonymously, allowing the work to shine entirely on its own. We honor screenwriting as a refined and expressive art form. Every script is an opportunity to discover something extraordinary, and we approach each one with openness and deep respect for the craft. Submission Instructions Welcome to Roam Studios. We exist for the independent artist—for those who write with courage, craft, and conviction. If you’ve written a screenplay you believe is worth remembering, we want to read it. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure your submission is eligible for review. Who Can Submit We accept submissions from: Represented writers, Please include your literary agent or manager’s contact information along with your own. Unrepresented writers and story artists, No agent or manager is required. Submit your work directly. Roam Studios champions writers based on the merit of their work alone. First-time writers are given the same opportunity as seasoned professionals. We read remove the writers name during our evaluation process, as to not inject bias while under review. What to Submit 1.Screenplay (PDF Format Only) Upload a completed screenplay in PDF format. We do not accept Final Draft files, Word docs, download links, or treatments. The script must be an original work authored entirely by a human writer. 2.Submission Form Complete all required fields in the submission form, including: 1.Writer’s name and contact information 2.Agent or manager details (if applicable) 3.The Title of the Screenplay 4.A short optional comment or logline We do not need, the following: Roam Studios evaluates only the screenplay. Please do not attach or include: Pitch decks, lookbooks, treatments, or concept art Production schedules or budgets Information about financing or packaging status Director, cast, or investor attachments AI-generated material (see below) Ideas, treatments, outlines, summaries, conceptual level work Incomplete drafts, These materials will not be reviewed and may disqualify your submission. AI Policy We do not accept any screenplays written wholly or partially by artificial intelligence. U.S. Copyright law only recognizes only human authors, and so do we. Submissions found to contain AI-generated material will be disqualified without review. If you use AI to write, this is not the place for your work. We value storytelling that comes from lived experience, study, skill, and soul, not shortcuts. After You Submit Please allow at least 30 days for review. During high-volume periods, this may extend. All scripts are evaluated by our internal story team. If your screenplay is selected for further consideration, we’ll contact you directly. If we provide notes, we encourage you to revise and resubmit.

Roam Studios Submission Policy Please Read Before Submitting Thank you for considering Roam Studios as a home for your original screenplay. We are proud to be a destination for authentic, writer-driven storytelling. Before submitting, please read the following policy carefully. Submission of any material to Roam Studios constitutes your acceptance of the terms below. 1. Non-Confidential Submission & Similarity Disclaimer Roam Studios regularly receives and develops creative works that may be similar to yours in concept, theme, setting, characters, or story elements. This is due mostly in part to the natural result of trends in culture and the collective current zeitgeist. By submitting, you acknowledge and agree that: Your submission is non-confidential and unsolicited. Roam Studios is under no obligation to review, develop, return, or provide feedback on your submission. Roam Studios may already be developing or may in the future develop material that is similar in part or in whole to your submission. You waive any claim of infringement or misappropriation based solely on the existence of similarities between your submission and any current or future project. Your submission does not create any contractual, fiduciary, or confidential relationship with Roam Studios or its affiliates. 2. Non-Exclusive License for In-Depth Review and Analytical Evaluation By submitting your work, you grant Roam Studios a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to review, analyze, and evaluate the material in depth for the purposes of development consideration. This license permits Roam Studios to conduct both creative and business feasibility assessments using internal and external resources. These resources may include: Internal personnel, such as creative executives, development staff, and in-house readers, External parties, including independent contractors, freelance coverage readers, or third-party service providers, Interns affiliated with accredited academic institutions working under supervision, and varied software tools utilized to assist in the overall analysis and business process—including, but not limited to: Story summarization (e.g., Final Draft Pro), Scheduling (e.g., Movie Magic Scheduling), Budgeting (e.g., Movie Magic Budgeting), and Financial projection analysis. Any internal work product, documentation, or evaluations resulting from this review shall remain the sole property of Roam Studios. The studio is under no obligation to share, deliver, or disclose any portion of such analysis to the submitter, even if the submitter is informed that a comprehensive or feasibility-focused review is in progress. This license does not grant Roam Studios the right to distribute, exploit, or otherwise use the submitted material beyond the scope of internal evaluation unless mutually agreed to in writing. 3. We Do Not Accept AI-Generated Screenplays – No Exceptions Roam Studios accepts only human-authored works. You may not submit any material that is generated in whole or in part by artificial intelligence or machine learning tools, including but not limited to large language models, generative AI platforms, or code-based composition systems. This is not a philosophical stance—it is a legal one. The United States Copyright Office, along with hundreds of years of U.S. and international precedent, does not recognize non-human-generated material as subject to copyright protection. By submitting, you affirm under penalty of perjury that your screenplay is: 100% human-authored Not created, co-authored, or generated by artificial intelligence, any spiritual source, or non-human author Not derived from or incorporating any AI-produced material, prompts, summaries, or expansions Any screenplay found to contain AI-generated content will be rejected without review, and any false attestation may result in permanent disqualification from submission consideration. 5. Representations, Warranties, and Indemnification By submitting, you affirm and warrant that: You are the sole and original human author of the submitted work. You have the full legal right to submit the work for review. The work is not subject to any third-party claim, lien, option, license, or encumbrance. The material does not infringe upon or violate the intellectual property, privacy, or contractual rights of any other party. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roam Studios, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, losses, or damages arising from a breach of these warranties. 6. No Obligation Submission of your screenplay does not obligate Roam Studios to: Develop, produce, publish, or option the work; Provide compensation, credit, or further communication; Return your submission or notify you of decisions. Nothing in this policy or your submission shall be construed as creating a joint venture, partnership, employment relationship, or implied contract. 7. Dual Submissions & Third-Party Agreements Roam Studios acknowledges and agrees that: You retain the full right to submit your screenplay to other studios, production companies, agents, contests, and industry professionals, provided that no exclusive rights have been granted elsewhere at the time of submission. There is no exclusivity implied or required by submitting your screenplay to Roam Studios. You are free to pursue opportunities with other entities simultaneously. You agree to notify Roam Studios in writing if, at any time during our review process, your screenplay becomes subject to a third-party option, purchase, attachment, or development agreement. Upon receiving such notification, Roam Studios will immediately suspend or terminate its evaluation, and will not pursue further review, discussion, or development of the submitted material unless explicitly reauthorized by all relevant parties in writing. 8. Confidentiality, Non-Disclosure & Conduct By submitting your screenplay to Roam Studios, you agree to the following terms: No Disclosure of Feedback or Review: You may not disclose, describe, or reference any internal analysis, feedback, review process, or status of consideration—whether received or assumed—on any platform or to any individual not authorized under this policy. No Public Discussion or Social Media Commentary: You agree not to post, share, or discuss any aspect of your submission or its evaluation on social media, blogs, podcasts, forums, or other public or semi-public platforms. No Defamation or Disparagement: You agree not to disparage, defame, libel, or make negative or misleading public comments about Roam Studios, its employees, contractors, representatives, or any third-party reviewers engaged in the evaluation process. No Disclosure of Terms: You may not share or publicly discuss any policies, terms, conversations, or decisions related to this submission process. Permitted Disclosure: Confidential information may only be shared with legal counsel, managers, agents, or business advisors who are themselves bound by confidentiality. Survival of Terms: These obligations remain in effect permanently, regardless of the outcome of the submission or any future communications. 9. Governing Law This Submission Policy and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any claims arising out of this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Los Angeles County, California. 10. Agreement Acknowledgment By clicking the "I have read the terms" button and submitting your screenplay, you: Confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to all terms outlined above; Affirm that you are legally authorized to submit the screenplay and enter into this agreement; Acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to consult with a manager, talent representative, legal counsel, or another qualified individual familiar with entertainment law and industry practices if you are not personally experienced in such matters; Accept that any breach of these terms may result in disqualification, legal remedy, or permanent exclusion from current and future submission opportunities with Roam Studios.
